This was a yearbook assignment for a spread about people going to college for sports. I was pretty excited to take this assignment. I wanted a fantastic creamy background, so I took the bigma and went with it. It was sunny outside, so I set my ISO to 320. I know my aperture needed to be as low as it could, so I went with 2.8. I was imagining her tossing the ball up or side to side and kind of giving a "yeah that's right I'm going to college and I play softball blah blah" kind of look, but I'm happy with the result. Overall i really enjoyed getting to shoot this, because i haven't done a lot of stuff like this for the yearbook. It also prepared me for taking the Grant McNeil picture at the baseball fields.
